I’ve been spending the past few months working on a top-down zombie survival co-op game, it’s still very much still in the workshed.

This game, whilst rather rudimentary in it’s presentation, is actually designed to be a realistic zombie apocalypse survival simulator. We used a team of zombie survival experts* to plan situations that would call for coordination, teamwork and an assortment of firearms and melee weapons.

* they watched Dawn of the Dead once or twice. We did try and use somebody who’d watched Resident Evil 2, but he was past saving.

  1. What happened? The link to the game is 404. It sounded cool. Anyways, if you managed to implement networking of some kind, it would be cool if I could glance at the source code. I figure that you wrote it with legume. I’m still trying to figure it out and examples are scarce. Heck, I get exceptions raised every time I try something. Maybe I could understand if I looked at an actual example.

  2. I eventually got bored with it and it’s now languishing on my hard drive somewhere – It was actually written in C# and used lidgren for networking. Apologies that you’re not having much luck with legume, I’ll respond to your post on the legume-users group so the other folk can see it too.
